Speech and Language Therapy
Individual Therapy: 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions tailored to each child’s needs and learning style and designed to most rapidly progress through goals
Group Therapy: 45 minute sessions for children who benefit from peer practice or are doing well in a more structured setting and have yet to generalize to more spontaneous and conversational environments.
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy: 30 minute sessions for children and adults who require the need to correct the proper function of the tongue and facial muscles used at rest and for swallowing.
Social Skills Group: 45 to 60 minute sessions for groups of 3 to 4 children selected by age and developmental level learning how to establish and maintain friendships in a fun and naturalistic environment.
Feeding Therapy: 45 to 60 minute sessions designed for picky or disordered eaters who have food sensitivities and a limited inventory of tolerated foods. Also for children of all ages who are having motor or neuro-motor difficulties with chewing and swallowing their food.
Academic Training and Support: Individual support for kids who are struggling with academics in various subjects and at different levels. More than tutoring, we gauge where children “break down” in their learning and give them tools that they can take with them into the classroom and when studying on their own at home.
Augmentative Communication Training: Using the “Touch Chat” ipad program for children who have motor difficulties such as severe apraxia or are non verbal and benefit from having an alternative and augmentative method of communication.
